About us

The Dyslexia House Association is a web based charity run by volunteers.

It has been set up to provide information for people with an interest in Dyslexia.

It has replaced the Medway Dyslexia Association which closed at the end of June 2009.
We cover the Medway, Maidstone, Gravesend, Dartford, Sittingbourne and Isle of Sheppey area.

Through our web site we aim to:

  • Help Dyslexic people of all ages.

  • Advance the education of dyslexic people.

  • Help parents, teachers and employers provide a dyslexia friendly environment at home, school and work

We are affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association.

The vision of the British Dyslexia Association is a dyslexia friendly society enabling all dyslexic people to reach their potential.

Their Mission is to:

  • campaign and lobby for long lasting and sustainable change for the benefit of dyslexic people.

  • provide impartial and objective advice and support to dyslexic people and those with whom they come into contact.

  • set the standards for and accredit dyslexia knowledge and professional expertise.

  • deliver innovative solutions which break new ground in the field of dyslexia.

  • disseminate and share best practice regionally, nationally and internationally

  • promote research.
